Well, I am here in China now. In Shanghai.... ok the outskirt of Shanghai. Well, I have not seen much yet. All I can say so far is that I am so glad to be with my Hsiu Hsiu, and GEE WIZ the Pudong Airport is huge!!! Pudong is Shanghai's airport. When I step off the plane all I could see is an endless terminal on both side. Yep it is a huge airport. So ... I already spend my first night in Shanghai in Hsiu Hsiu's family's house. Yep their house is huge. Not what I expected to see in Shanghai. Anyway... it is around 6:30 am here ... so I have to get ready for a full day. Hopefully, I can get some pictures by the end of the day.
Today I fullfilled one of my civic duties as an American. I voted in a presidental election for the first time. The polling place I went to was an elementry school. It is interesting to see all the little kids in school. A little girl came up to me and ask me who I vote for, I said... "I am not going to say"... after a while, I thought about it ... I should have said ... I voted for Fiber! Actually, that is what really matters in this election in Ephrata. Don't get me wrong, the presidental election is very important, but I think the PUD commissioner election will immediately affect everyone here, much more than the presidental election.
BTW... I don't remember having breakfast in elementry schools..... yummmm....
Happy Birthday!!!
Well, today I turn 28. Wow... 28!!! Well... not much has happened today.... humm let see I woke up, went to work... oh and it snowed today... Yeah... it snowed last year on my birthday too. So after a full day of work.. I am at home relaxing and watching Van Helsing... so far it is a pretty cool movie. little bit of James Bond and a litte bite of Blade.
So ... yesterday was Halloween and I gave away about 3 bags of candy. That's pretty fun... of course I only give away the good stuff... like Kit Kats and Snickers ... ummm.... I always remember how much fun I had when I was a kid in halloween. But you know, I hate high school kids that don't dress up and still come out and ask for candy... that is just lame.
I miss you Hsiu Hsiu. That's ok... I will be in Shanghai soon... next week I will celebrate with my wonderful fiancee in China!!
