Just got back from lunch with my buds from Birmingham. Yep... my friend Andy came in to town, so Ben, Brian, Scott, and I all decided to meet with him for lunch. We went to this BBQ place in the Houston Tunnel's called "Frontier BBQ". It is not bad... It is good to talk and joke around with the guys. |

I got good news and bad news this morning.... so which one first? Ok... the good news is I am getting a small bonus this year. Woo hoo... extra cash!!! So what's the bad news? Well, the bad news is that the company is cancelling the 401k matching program for 1 year. DOH! I am still in shock from the change of my department's director, and now this? I wonder what is next? I guess I better start saving up and make plans.... "Everyone, brace yourself... prepare for impact...." |

Well... yesterday was really a blur...so .. I did not leave work until 9:40am yesterday. Yep... about 16 hours at work. Pretty fun huh? Well, after I got home I took a shower and head to bed. I got up about 5 hours later and got ready for Superbowl. Well, Superbowl was a big disappointment. 21-48 ... what a blow out.... but still Scott, Wendy, and baby John came over and we had a wonder dumpling dinner... anyway... couple more days until Chinese New Year... Wooo Hoo!!! |

Good Morning... or something like it... Well... today is the first time I spend the night in the company. so ... I guess it is around 6:07 am now... and I am still at work. I did not have dinner because I came in to the office around 5:00 pm. I miss my "Hot Pot" Dinner that I have planned for last night. {Sigh} ... So who do I blame? I blame the stupid SQL worm. Well, it pretty much took out our entire company, everything was stopped. We had to shut down all server, all internet, and all computers within the corporations. .... so, as you can imagine, I spent hours trying to do damage control on all the locations that has been hit. Fun Fun Fun...... I don't know when I will be home... but I hope it will be before the super bowl. Oh ... guess what I had for Dinner?...or is it Breakfast.... anyway... the only thing I had to eat since I started working today is a Jelly doughnut and it was not even Krispy Kreme... |

So I signed up for the department's superbowl pool... ok, half of one... my friend, Greg and I are in it together. Anyway, we got this weird number 2 and 8. Thats Raiders 2 and Buccaneers 8. how it works is that at the end of every quarter if the teams end in 2 and 8 then we win something. 2 and 8? Well.. if the Raiders had a safety and the Buccanneers had a touchdown and went for two... all in the first quarter... hee hee... then I will have a very good superbowl sunday!!! Wishful thinking right? Well... We will see on Sunday ....

Yeah... So ... I think I got too many pictures... ever since I got my S30 ... I been taking pictures none stop... I don't think any of my pictures are worthy of anything ... in fact I think most of the other people?s pictures are better than mine, even if their camera are crappier than mine. But yet I continue to take more pictures. The theory is that, if I take ton of pictures I will eventually hit one that looks like something cool and something good. There comes a time when a person should really get off his ass and get back in to the school of things. Well, I got an email from an old friend from my childhood. Well, he is also an engineer now, he just informed me that he just finished the first term in law school. Wow... that is awesome... but that also got me thinking .... man.... what up with me... dragging my feet around... get off your butt and get to work!!! well... it has been a busy night... let see ... first right after work I went to the dentist to get my teeth checked and clean... well... they told me to floss more and also the have give me a deep cleaning path. Which means I will have to go back 3 more times to get deep clean to prevent future problems. What does all this mean? Well, it just mean that I have to shell out more money in the next couple of month for my teeth. I tell you, when it is all and done, I will have the most expensive teeth in the world and it would probably still look like crap. Anyway, after the dentist thing, I decided to get my hair cut. Well, I figure, someone special is coming to town tomorrow... I better look my best. So I went to Chinatown to get me a $7 haircut. ha ha ha. I have to say ... that is pretty cheap. So since I was in Chinatown anyway, I also got myself some dinner. Yep... good noodle soup... ummm.... On the way back home, I stopped by Randels and bought some cleaning agents. Why? once again someone special is coming to town... so I better clean up. While I was checking out of Randel's I heard an interesting comment by the casher lady. She asked me if I was driving or walking. Hummm... I guess I am in downtown where people do walk to the stores... but it is still nothing like Taipei. .... ahhhh... Taipei.... So... I just finish cleaning the kitchen ... so what's next???? |

Well... I got my glasses ... finally!!! Yep... they are actually pretty nice... except.. they said the lab messed up the frame so they will have to order a new one for me. But they did give me the current one so I can wear it for now. I have to say one thing... it is a very, very light pair of glasses.

This sucks... how long does it take for the lens to come in? I mean gee wiz... I order my glasses last week and I still have not receive them. I just called the eye doctors and they said they are still waiting for my lens. I just hope I get it before this weekend. It has just been too long. I should have gotten a pair of glasses in Taiwan. They would have it done overnight. |

Interesting note... at the market opening today... my company stock went from mid 9 dollars to 17 dollars.... it got me all excited... but then I realize it was only a fluke. I think someone in yahoo messed up. But it was interesting though. |

Another day in the office... I have noticed something... I remember when I was in middle school, I always ride the bus in the morning, I wear a backpack to carry all my school stuff, and I also bring a set of gym clothe for PE. So the question is, have I regress back to middle school? Now, I still ride the bus in the morning. I use a backpack to carry my laptop and work stuff. I bring my gym clothe to work everyday for my noon workout. I guess the only difference is that lunch is approx. 5 to 10 bucks now, while back in middle school it was less then 2 dollars. Ah? those were the days?. |

So tonight has been pretty interesting... my friend Drew from Birmingham came to town for some business. So, we decided to get all the old Bham guys together for dinner. We went to this TexMex place north of downtown called Crazy Horse. We had a pretty good time, the food was plenty and we had a very good time catching up. We talked about the present, the past, and the future..... {sigh} how time flies!!!

Lunch was pretty good today... yes ... I did not go workout today but I did go and have lunch with a good friend from Birmingham. Osane, my friend from Birmingham, was here for his EYIs. Well, today has been a busy day. I did keep up my workout routine. I went to play racquetball with one of my co-worker and Hey I won one game in a tie breaker. It was pretty intense, a pretty good workout too. So I guess I need to add another goal for this year, that is to keep up with my blog... so I guess one entry minimium per day? So yesterday afternoon, I broke my glasses and I went to get a new one. Yep... I am now broke... again.... the glasses were more expensive than I expected... but then again... I had to pick the indestructible frame. I can't wait to get my new glasses. |

I just got back from playing racquetball with my friend Rigged. All I have to say is I settled all the trash talk that been going on. It was only two games, but it was alot of fun. Hopefully I can keep the exercising going. I want to get my body fit and my mind fit. Got to get ready for the GRE. |

Everyone always have goals for the new year, since it is only the 7th day in to the New Year, I guess it is not too late to list my goals for this year. So here it goes. 1) Work on taking the GRE and get in to a grad. school. 2) Work on getting my CCNP 3) Save some money and repay all debts 4) Keep my place clean and tidy 5) Keep in shape ... workout or exercise everyday. 6) Finally, find a way to be closer to my girlfriend Hsiu Hsiu. I miss her so much! |

Stupid jet lag... since I came back from Taiwan, I been falling asleep really early and of course I wake up the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep. Doh! This sucks! I hope all this stuff will clear up by this weekend. {sigh} I miss Hsiu Hsiu. So tasks for this weekend are... 1. Sleep and Sleep 2. Keep House Clean 3. Complete the Taiwan Tour website.... I am sure you guys are waiting for this one 4. Find a good PHP or ASP photo albumn script for my site. If anyone know of a good one please let me know. I have something in my mind of what I want but I just can't fit it in to my current website scheme. ... maybe I can catch one more hour of nap before work. |

Well, once again... it is the first day back to work and I just got done going over my performance appraisal with my boss. It's pretty good. My boss seems to be happy with my work. That's really good. My boss did also promise me an office as soon as one opens up. Now what about a promotion? ... well... I don't for see that anytime soon... :-) Oh well... |

First day of work of this new year. It has been pretty good so far. I had a good lunch and am still working on my program. I don't think i want to go home. My parents, my sister, and my girlfriend have left for Auburn this morning. {sigh} I guess I will be returning to an empty house tonight. Oh, speaking of Auburn... War Eagle!!!! Auburn Beat Penn State yesterday 13 to 9 in the Capital One Bowl. Man... Penn State's cheer sucks!!! .... instead of Auburn's Orange and Blue cheer... Penn State has .... "We Are........... PENN STATE".... what the heck?????... yes you are ..... you are penn state. Anyway, the 01/01/03 was pretty layback. I hope this will be a pretty awesome year!!! |
