Well, so it is day after Thanksgiving, we decided to head to Lake Martin and do some fishing. It was cold but we had alot of fun. Johnson got to get a chance to see some of the Alabama's beautiful landscape and weather. What is funny is one hour in to our trip to the lake, I got a call from NCC saying that the West Monroe node's router is out. Which means, that all locations connected to that location is down. That is really no big deal because the dial backup system I put in not too long ago should have kicked in. After a few minutes of debugging on the lake, I was about ready to head back. Luckly, my boss, Terry, was way ahead of the game and fix exactly what I was going to fix. Well, it is a perfect fix, but it is a fix that will not require any call out. That is a good thing. I am sure we will get to discuss alot about it on Monday, but mean while the pipeline is getting their data... which is a very good thing. So how is your day? |

Today is day after Thanksgiving. My stomach is full of turkey and other "big dinner" food and I am ready for some left over turkey frame soup!!! Yeah!!!! So is everyone going shopping? Humm... That should be fun right? Big after thanksgiving shopping madness sale. |

First of all, I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone gets to eat lots and lots of turkey and Thanksgiving food. Ah!!! it is so good to be back home!!! Auburn is just so relaxing, but getting here, yesterday, was an adventure. Our Adventure Home Yesterday, our original plan was to leave Houston around 6:00 am and travel for approx. 12 hours on the road including lunch and be in Auburn around 6:00pm for dinner and so on. Well, our plan was great and on schedule until we hit the Texas and Louisiana border. At first, it seems like no big deal. We though... oh... a small traffic jam. no biggy, we will wait a little bit and move on. At worst we will be behind schedule for 30 min to an hour right? WRONG!!! The short wait went on from about 8:00am to about 10:30am. It was not until then did we finally get a chance to get off the highway. When we were getting off we saw two white trucks blocking I-10 and detouring all traffic to access roads. I ask the workers in the what truck, "how far up is the construction?" He replied, "there are no constructions, it's a bad ass accident up there". Ok so why did they block I-10 if it was only an accident? It was not until we finally got off the access road and got a chance to take our first break, when I asked someone in the gas station what's going on and if there were an alternate route. The station attendent said, "yep, there was a chemical spill not to far from here, and there are also doing construction near Louisiana Border, so I would advise you to take the detour." And so we did. The detour was pretty fun. We got a chance to drive through couple of small southern Louisiana towns. It was no big deal but it was pretty fun. We ended up having lunch in Eunice, before finally returning to I-10. The detour plus the wait tacked on 4 additional hours to our trip. We ended up not arriving to Auburn until 10:30 pm. Pretty Darn late, but I have to say... it was pretty fun. It was a long trip, but it was a fun trip. Thanks Hsiu, Johnson, and Min-Jye for making it so interesting!!! Happy Thanksgiving!! |

Good Monday morning!!! This will be a short short week... yep... I am heading back to Auburn on Wednesday!!! So I guess you guys are wondering how was the weekend. Well, I should have posted during the weekend but I was too busy. Yes, it was a very busy weekend. So lets start. Friday Night: We went to see the Wizards vs. the Rockets. It was very awesome!!! It has a huge cool factor added when music is playing while the game is going on. That's pretty cool. Of course, we got to see Michael Jordan play. We also got a chance to see the newest Rocket, Yao Ming play. He's pretty good for a rookie in the NBA. So who won? Of course the Rockets!!! Yeah... Jordan isn't the same guy anymore. So all in all, it was alot of fun. I will have to post some pictures sometime. Saturday : College Football ... and more football.... War Eagle... Auburn won!!! 17-7.... Woo HOO!!!! How 'bout them Tigers. But LSU also won so that means SEC championship is out of the pictures. So I wonder what bowl are we going to? Anyone? Sunday: Harry Potter Well... I saw Harry Potter 1 & 2 Back to back... it was interesting. I personally thought that the 1st one was better. My girlfriend and I also agree that the 2nd one was a little too bloody and violent for little kids ... maybe not for 8th graders but for 5-6 years old ... oh yeah... too bloody. All in all... it was alot of fun!!! |

Well... my website is back up and operational. However, it is only about 70% of what it was. I still have to get the mail server, the commenting system, and the discussion forum backup and running. The amazing thing is that my server is already being attacked by people and I just open it up yesterday. It is pretty amazing. But I am ready this time. |

It was a fun day yesterday. I got a chance to spend some time with my Auburn buddies and watch the Auburn UGA game. Well... we lost. Why? ... because we suck!!! ... nah.. we don't suck that bad. We just can't play on the second half.... so do we still have a chance to go to the SEC championship? Hell Yeah.... this is what needs to happen... LSU needs to lose one more game and then beat Arkansas. Oh and Auburn has to beat Alabama... that's not too hard right? Well, if that happens we will go the the extra game in Atlanta. WAR EAGLE. So what else been going on this weekend? Well, nothing much really ... I am just sitting around and really enjoying my new home. It is wonderful. |

Some of you are probably wondering why mintrix.net is down. Well, It is down because I got hacked. And I got hacked good. The guys Hacked through my IIS server and was able to put files via TFTP to my computer. Well, needless to say... they have royally screwed my server up. Hopefully, I can get it fix soon. |

Sitting here Friday night around 11 pm, looking at my web site... looking at my blog ... and I realized... everything I write about is totally pointless. Why would anyone want to waste their time reading this? Why, would I waste good technology on something so worthless? I don't know. I guess I never expect anyone to read this anyway... it is just random thought that I write down ... sort of a journal except it is a public journal. But still... I look back on the last couple month of log... it has been very very repetitive. I mean, am I just getting to be that boring that it seems that everything I talk about is even becoming the same. Monday, I talk about how bad it is Monday. Wednesday, I talk about how it is only two days from the weekend and Friday I talk about ready to go home. It is pretty much the same theme every week. Well, I need to change that. I am beginning to think I am a pretty stale guy... and maybe I am boring all my friends too... Well... I ramble on too much? I will stop now and change a topic. |

Well, playing racquetball is fun. Playing racquetball when you are just starting to recover from being sick is ... well... also fun, but I would probably not do it again. I played my co-worker Miguel today in racquetball. It was really alot of fun. I have not excerise like that in a long long time, but I guess I can say that he literally beat the "snot" out of me. ha ha ha. So how did I do? Well, I lost all 3 games we played, but I had fun and that is what matters right? All I can say is that, next time I play him, I will not go down so easily, but for todays game he is just a better player and it was a very fun and exciting game. I've got to work on my speed and endurance. |

Well, it is official... I will be heading back to Taiwan with Hsiu Hsiu on 12/14/2002 - 12/29/2002. The tickets are reserved and the boss has approved my leave. It will be a two week trip. I think it will be lots of fun, but for some reason the trip keeps reminding me of this movie. I am sure I will post other details and specifics about the trip soon. |

Well, the trip back home was great!!! It was awesome to have some mom's good cooking again!!! I also want to thank everyone that left a message wishing me a happy birthday!!! Thanks again! By now, you guy probably noticed that something is up with mintrix.net . I don't know what's going on... I thought I fixed the problem, but there seems to be some scripting issue in the opening page. I will try to fix it from remote, but it will probably be until sunday night before I can repair the site. Please bear with me. Once again... Yesterday was a wonderful birthday!!!! My trip to the dentist yesterday was pretty good. Except, it always makes you feel a bit funny when the dentist looks over his work and says ... "nah... lets redo this" and started drilling again after the first filling. yep... that's a warm and fuzzy. |
